When you get started with research, the first step is deciding what you will research. Use the "Choosing a Topic" tab to find resources about brainstorming, concept mapping, and taking a topic to a research question.
The tools in "Developing a Search Strategy" are important because databases do not work like Google. You can't put any sentence in and get the best results out. You instead need keywords, Boolean operators, and some other special characters to get you the best set of articles for your topic.
