When will you vote? 3 options
1. Vote early!
- Georgia early voting begins on October 15 through November 1.
- Each county sets the times for early voting.
- Each county must offer early voting on Saturday, October 19 and Saturday, October 26.
- Don't forget that October 26 is Homecoming, so you may not want to travel to your home county that day. You can change your address to your SSU address.
- There are early voting locations around the county. For the locations, dates, and times for Chatham County, visit the Vote with SSU early voting page
- Vote with SSU will be helping with transportation to early voting sites. Follow the website or the Instagram page.
2. Vote on Election Day, November 5
- On Election Day, you must vote at your assigned polling place.
- Find your polling place at the
- Polling places are open from 7 AM to 7 PM.
- Lines may be long before 8:00 AM and after 5:00 PM. If you can go mid-morning or mid-afternoon, you may not have to wait in a line.
3. Request an Absentee Ballot.
- If you aren't registered in Chatham County or a county close enough where you can vote early or vote on November 5, you can request an absentee ballot.
- You can fill out an absentee ballot request online. See more information on the State of Georgia page. For other states, use the Vote411 map to find out how to request an absentee ballot.
- Once requested, your ballot will be mailed to you in early October.
- Complete your ballot and mail it back IMMEDIATELY! Your ballot must reach your home county by November 5, so DO NOT WAIT!
