Savannah State University's Policy on Academic Honesty
"The rights and responsibilities of academic freedom are at the core of intellectual integrity of the institution. Students are expected to
behave honestly during the learning process in order to maintain the highest standards of academic honesty. Cheating and other forms of academic dishonesty undermine Savannah State’s educational value for everyone, and especially for the individual who cheats."
For more information (including handling of code of conduct violations) please review the Student Handbook which is posted on this page.
Some students believe the ethical use of information matters only to teachers, and after they graduate, they can forget all about it. In reality, virtually any profession you enter will require you to write and document your sources. If you are caught plagiarizing or misusing information, you may lose your job.
