Library Services

Asa H. Gordon Library is the heart of the academic and research culture at Savannah State University. Through Gordon Library, you will have access to:

  • print and digital books, periodicals, and articles
  • a 36-seat computer lab
  • DVDs and CDs
  • printing, scanning, and copying services
  • research consultations with librarians, walk-in and by appointment
  • private study and conference rooms
  • weekly research skill workshops
  • Savannah State University's physical and digitized archives and special collections
  • virtual, subject- and class-specific  research guides
  • virtual chat or texting with librarians for questions on-the-go
  • classrooms and multipurpose spaces for events and programs

Gordon Library's first floor houses walk-in librarian assistance at the front desk, a computer lab, study and conference rooms, the printing, scanning, and copying station, magazines, Asa's Place Cafe, and bound periodicals and reference materials.

The second floor houses classrooms, study and conference rooms, the library's archives, art gallery, and special collections, lounge spaces, multipurpose spaces for programming, and books in the Main and African American collections.

Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday Closed
Sunday 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
