Getting Started at the Library

Here you can find information of how to check out library materials, use our e-resources, and get research help from librarians.

What are Research Guides?

The SSU librarians have created online research guides, or LibGuides, that collect various sources of information relevant to a particular subject, class section, or commonly asked research questions, such as citation formatting and plagiarism. The LibGuides contain information about resources available through Gordon Library (books, databases, multimedia, etc) and online resources that are relevant to a particular subject, like Biology, English, and more.

These guides are created by librarians with your professors in order to provide you with 24/7, on-the-go research assistance.

Tutorials and research guides can be found on the library’s webpage under “Research and Resources” or at savannahstate.libguides.com.

Note: The page you're currently on is a research guide!
