To search for journals by subject, start with an Advanced Search in the GIL Find catalog. From the main page of GIL Find, click on "Advanced Search" to the right of the search bar.

Simply type your subject into the first Search Filters area in the Advanced Search and limit the format to "Journals". (Tip: keep the subject very simple.)

A list of journals will appear as well as ways to refine your search on the left side of the page. Click on the title of a journal to view its record. This example is a journal search for the term "social work."

The record will display the holdings for the journal. Most journals are available online. Click on the Online access link to see what database(s) the have the journal. Then click on the database name to go to the page in the database where you can search directly in this journal or browse by date. Please contact us if you need assistance!
