Before submitting an ILL request:
- First, make sure your library account is free of fines and overdue materials. To access your library account, click on Sign in/Request items in GIL-Find.
- For books, check our online catalog, GIL-Find, to make sure what you need t is not available in Asa H. Gordon Library collection or via GIL Express from another USG Library.
- Click on the drop-down arrow next to "Savannah State University" to search University System of Georgia (USG) Libraries collection.
- If the item you need is in one of USG Libraries collections, request the book via GIL Express. See Instructions for Submitting a GIL Express.
- For articles, do a Find Journals search or GALILEO search to see if we have the physical copy of a journal issue in our collection or if an eJournal article or eBook you need is in one of our electronic databases.
If Asa H Gordon Library or USG Libraries do not have what you need, submit a request via the appropriate ILL request form as noted below:
- To request returnable items, such as books, audiobooks, DVDs, etc., complete and submit the Interlibrary Loan Book/Media Request Form.
- To request photocopies of a journal, magazine, or newspaper articles, book chapters, etc., complete and submit the Article/Book Chapter Request Form. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Articles are obtained for private study, scholarship, or research. Any other use may be a violation of copyright law.

***Items requested through ILL can only be released/emailed to person who made the request.
You can also search for items in GALILEO and Worldcat.org, etc. If you find an article, book, etc., during your search and it is not available in Asa H. Gordon Library or another USG Library's collection, complete and submit an ILL request using the appropriate request form.
