Describes how faculty can design, locate and evaluate OERs (free/ affordable) as alternative to textbooks thereby promoting retention, progression, and graduation rate

Why Affordable Learning?

Savannah State University is working to promote student success and to increase retention, progression and graduation of its students.  These are goals of the Complete College America and Georgia initiatives, both of which have identified the high cost of textbooks as a barrier to the academic success of students.

As a member of the University System of Georgia's program, Affordable Learning Georgia, we are fostering educational equity and access every day on campus.
