Textbooks at the SSU Bookstore

The following information may be useful to students who plan to purchase textbooks from the SSU Bookstore. Please contact the bookstore for more information.

  • RENTING TEXTBOOKS Neebo, the bookstore contractor, will rent every textbook in the bookstore. This means that students only pay a percentage up front instead of buying at full price and selling it back at the end of the semester.
  • USING FINANCIAL AID FOR TEXTBOOKS Financial Aid funds can be used through the "Bookstore Voucher" timeframe on the SSU Calendar for rentals and purchases.
  • PRICE MATCHING Neebo has also established a 10% guarantee program. Students can bring in an ad from online sellers such as Amazon or Chegg, and the bookstore will sell the book to them at 10% less than the online published amount. (For example, if the book sells for $90 at the bookstore and the exact same books sells on Amazon for $80, then the bookstore will sell it to them for $72.) This does not apply to peer-to-peer book sales.
  • SCHOLARSHIPS As part of its contract, Neebo provides $3,000 in scholarship money per year to be used for textbooks.
